FREE Flamenco Performance in San Antonio
This Sunday, November 16th at 3pm San Antonio based dance company Arte y Pasion will be performing on Main Plaza to celebrate International Day of Flamenco!

The performance directed by Tamara Adira will feature dancers Genevieve Obregon (flamenco) and Tamanna Shams O'Dea (kathak). They will be accompanied by Jose Manuel Tejeda on guitar, Roberto Riggio on violin, and Celia Corrales on vocals.
Esteemed poet laureate emeritus
Andrea "Vocab" Sanderson will lead the Proclamation Ceremony and will present spoken word poetry.
The proclamation ceremony is a weaving of cultures and textures echoed by the Silk Road, whose trade routes connected the East and West and touched countries such as Spain, India, and Mexico. With the trade of textiles, spices, art, and gold came the trade of cultures, music, language, and movement.
This coming together of artists for International Day of Flamenco honors the cultural confluence that came into fruition through the Silk Road.
